It allows the connection to the PLC of serial devices such as barcode scanners, operator terminals, serial printers, PCs, PLCs of other manufacturers and supports the protocols ASCII and 3964R and RK512.

The handling blocks supplied enable simple and flexible integration into the PLC. The module is parameterized in the hardware configurator of the PLC.

RS232/USB
The serial units are connected via RS232. The 9-pin Sub-D socket with standard pin assignment is provided for connecting the partner devices.
The additional USB device interface enables the connection of the PLC to PC systems, many of which have no conventional physical port. A virtual COM port driver enables the use of software that expects a COM interface.

RS422/RS485
The serial units are connected via RS422/RS485. The 15-pin Sub-D socket with standard pin assignment is provided for connecting the partner devices.
